Incorporating Twitter

Putting a Twitter feed on to your website is a nice additional feature that can display your latest tweets. There are many ways to integrate Twitter in to your blog or static website other than just displaying simple Tweets. Here a just a few more examples.

Twitter Widgets

The simplest method to add Twitter to your website is by using the widgets that are available via the Twitter site. These Widgets are easy to implement and can be customised to a certain extent, with the change of appearance and preferences but do not offer complete flexibility in the surrounding design. Great if you don’t mind the Twitter widgets structure but if you would like to have full control of adding Tweets.

This little plugin specifically for Wordpress integrates all the the related tweets to the page on your website. Handy for use when people may give an opinion on a particular blog post, allowing your users to see feedback of that post on you site from Twitter.

Twitterfeed can help you promote your latest blog posts. Adding your RSS to Twitterfeed will allow any new post on your site to be Tweeted via Twitterfeed to update your users as soon as the post has been added.

This simple little plugin for wordpress displays how many retweets your blog post receives and allows users to retweet directly from your blog. Excellent in helping you to promote any article.
