Grid Frameworks can help speed up the build off a website no end, below are is a framework that I have found useful in the past and that can really help with the website development.

So what is a Framework? Well a framework is a hierarchical directory that encapsulates shared resources which is in this case, a starting point that is stripped down and allows you to modify a preexisting document.

The Framework from which I work from was developed by Nathan Smith. His Framework has received a great reception from the design and development community as the starting blocks have already been created allowing us to get doing what we love.

Some of the feature in the 960GS include:

  • Fixed or Fluid Design
  • Sketch Sheets
  • Photoshop, Illustrator Fireworks Layouts among others

For any designer this is a time saver and it doesn’t even take that long to get use to.
