UK iPad Released Today
It has been a few months since the launch of the iPad in America and it has now hit the shores of the UK. Apple opened its stores at 8.00am today to allow eager shoppers to buy the device after some had queued all night to get their hands on the new product.
After the resounding success of the American release which saw over a million iPads sold within the first month outdoing any other Apple product, critics and Apple fans will be waiting to see if it has the same success in the rest of the world.
Since the release of the iPad, Apple’s shares have raised dramatically and Apple have overtaken Microsoft as the Number 1 Technology company.
While I won’t have my hands on one, I will be eager to see how the market develops and if the iPad takes a big market share in the use of the internet. My reason for this, because the lack of support for Flash and whether other technologies that website designers use, will we need to replace our sites that use Flash altogether? Not yet, but has Flash gained a life expectancy?
